Part of Metro Denver, the city of Golden boasts a number of geological wonders and recreational opportunities for visitors to enjoy. The National Earthquake and Information Center has a home in the city, offering visitors general information on earthquakes. At the Colorado School of Mines an impressive collection of minerals and rocks are on display in the Geology Museum. Golfers can head to Fossil Trace Golf Course while families can spend a day at The Splash at Fossil Trace or the Fish 'N Farm Fun Center. Another popular destination is Heritage Square, which contains numerous shops, restaurants and activities, such as the Heritage Rio Golden Train and the Music Hall Dinner Theater. Visitors can trek up Lookout Mountain to visit the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave, where the life of the legendary showman is detailed through exhibits and artifacts. Colorado is home to the Coors Brewing Company, which is based in Golden and welcomes tours of its facilities.
